About the Role

Sounders Truck Repair is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bodyworker/Painter to join our expert repair team. This role is critical in restoring commercial trucks and trailers to a like-new condition after accidents or cosmetic damage. Your craftsmanship will directly reflect our commitment to excellence and client satisfaction

Responsibilities

• Collision Repair:
  Restore truck and trailer bodies after accidents, including dent removal, frame straightening, and structural alignment.

  Surface Prep & Painting:
  Sand, prime, mask, and paint vehicles using professional spray techniques. Ensure durable, color-matched, and smooth finishes.

  Custom Finishes:
  Perform decal removal/installations, touch-ups, and custom paint requests per customer or fleet branding standards.

  Welding & Fabrication:
  Conduct minor welding and metalwork repairs, as needed, on body panels and frames.

  Material Handling:
  Mix and match paints correctly, maintain paint booth cleanliness, and follow environmental and safety regulations.

  Repair Documentation:
  Maintain accurate records of repairs, paint codes, materials used, and work hours for insurance or billing purposes.

  Team Collaboration:
  Work closely with mechanics, parts coordinators, and supervisors to prioritize tasks and streamline repair processes.

Qualifications

• Experience:
  3–5 years of professional experience in automotive or commercial truck bodywork and painting.

  Technical Skills:
  Proficiency in using paint guns, sanding tools, welding equipment, body fillers, and frame alignment machinery.

  Detail-Oriented:
  Excellent eye for color matching and surface perfection. Ability to produce showroom-quality finishes under deadlines.

  Physical Requirements:
  Able to lift up to 75 lbs, bend, stoop, stand for long periods, and work in a paint booth environment.

  Languages:
  Proficiency in English, Russian, and/or Ukrainian is a plus.

  Certifications:
  I-CAR, ASE Refinish, or OEM paint training certifications are a plus.
